Global Introduction of ISOLUTE® QuEChERS, Pesticide Residue Analysis for Food Industry Includes Buy 1, Get 1 Free OfferBiotage® (STO: BIOT), a leading supplier of tools and technology for analytical and medicinal chemistry, announced its new line of Biotage/IST ISOLUTE QuEChERS (pronounced "catchers") extraction and clean-up products for pesticide residue analysis. These dispersive SPE (dSPE) products offer Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe extraction of pesticides for multi-class, multi-residue pesticide analysis in vegetables and fruits. The QuEChERS method was developed by Steven J. Lehotay at the USDA and Michelangelo Anastassiades at CVUA (Stuttgart) Laboratories. ISOLUTE QuEChERS contain a mixture of precisely measured chemical compounds as described in the AOAC and EU standard methods for the analysis of pesticide residues from fruit and vegetable samples. Unlike labor intensive liquid-liquid extraction and complicated solid phase extraction methods, QuEChERS combine clean extracts with rapid work flow and ease of use that ensure reproducibility and fast sample preparation. Biotage's strict quality control during the manufacturing process ensures consistent performance in an already well defined methodology. ISOLUTE QuEChERS from Biotage offer many benefits over traditional methods: they are less expense, less labor intensive, more streamlined and faster. The 15mL extraction and clean-up tubes contain sufficient sorbent to process 10g or 15g samples according to the AOAC and EN methodologies and allow for immediate sample mixing and transfer to larger 50mL sample tubes. A unique shipping package contains 25 of the 15mL or 50mL tubes, serving as a convenient, disposable rack and eliminates the need to open individually sealed packages. "Every day, food laboratories around the world test samples to ensure that contaminated food is not distributed to the public. These customers make a great contribution to public safety and we are proud to part of that process," says Scott Carr, VP of Commercial Operations. "With the introduction of ISOLUTE QuEChERS, Biotage continues its commitment in providing tools and expertise to professionals responsible for our food safety. We are proud to deliver the highest quality products, best technical support and service to professionals worldwide." Mr. Carr continues, "I am also pleased to announce a special discount to our customers where they may receive 1 box of ISOLUTE QuEChERS free with every box purchased. This is a very special offer available for a limited time, with no quantity limit. Simply contact a local Biotage Representative for details and reference promotional code: Q10-12."
