NanoSight webinar on the use of NTA in Drug Delivery Research

NanoSight Logo

FREE NanoSight Webinar on the use of Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis in Drug Delivery Research.

NanoSight, leading manufacturers of unique nanoparticle characterization technology, address the challenges of nanoparticle control and analysis in the latest of their popular webinar program.

On Thursday 6th June, NanoSight hosted a webinar to look at how Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) is used to as a characterization tool during the development of drug delivery systems. During the webinar NanoSight

  • Discussed drug delivery systems, what’s available and the advantages of nanoparticles.
  • Briefly introduced those unfamiliar to NTA to this technology and the data it provides.
  • Presented recent data on the use of NTA in characterizing drug delivery systems of liposomes, polymer carriers and for prodrugs.
Drug delivery applications are attractive option as they have the potential to allow a medicine to preferentially act at the site of disease and have reduced side effects. The webinar discussed how nano-scale therapeutics are particularly suited for drug delivery and what types are available. Particle size is a key parameter when characterizing nano-particles. NTA has been used in the research of drug delivery systems of liposomes, polymer carriers and prodrugs. This webinar was of particular interest to those working in drug and biotherapeutics research, development and formulation, from Project Managers to Bench Scientists.
The webinar was led by Pauline Carnell (Senior Applications Scientist) and Jeremy Warren (CEO). The webinar was both informative and interactive and is available for download.
