New Model 360 single channel Flame Photometer from Sherwood Scientific

publication date: Mar 28, 2010

author/source: Sherwood Scientific Ltd

Model 360 single channel Flame Photometer The new Model 360 single channel Flame Photometer is supplied as standard with five filters for Sodium, Potassium, Lithium, Calcium and Barium, and is the latest addition to our product line.  The filters sit in a horizontal filter stick arrangement that allows simple selection, cleaning and replacement of elemental filters without need to take the instrument apart.  Individual LED's provide selected element confirmation.  A universal power supply equipped with a multi plug adapter kit for use with all mains voltages is also included.

The Model 360 combines our tried and tested Model 410 mixing chamber and burner design with automatic flame optimisation technology from our dual channel 420 and 425 Models; all of which are fundamental to quality of results* and simplicity of operation. *(<1% CV for 10ppm K and LOD <0.1ppm)

The expectation of ease of use and maintenance from a Sherwood instrument is taken to another level by the Model 360 and now made accessible to a greater number of end users in this lower cost format. The instrument offers separate gas and electronics "pods" hosted in a cost effective build design; a large, forward facing, sample presentation area with removable, easily cleaned, spill containment tray; visible air pressure reading and upfront regulator adjustment and of course our usual safety features.

Flame Photometry; with its low running costs, simplicity of operation and sensitivity, is the technique of choice for the measurement of Na, K and Ca for all sample types in:-

  • Mineral Extraction
  • Oil industry
  • Paper industry
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Soil analysis
  • Utilities
  • Cement
  • Food & Beverage
  • Fertilisers
  • Chemical Manufacture
