Sensitive & Specific anti-DDK Antibody for FLAG Epitope Tagging

amsbiopr21-image.jpgAMSBIO has announced 4C5 - an anti-DDK monoclonal antibody for the detection of DYKDDDDK epitope - the same protein sequence as FLAG-tag*.

Validated for Western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry applications - 4C5 anti-DDK offers higher sensitivity and specificity compared to other commercially available anti-FLAG antibodies. 4C5 anti-DDK allows researchers to detect proteins with low expression levels and purify recombinant proteins with high purities and yields.

To date the 4C5 antibody has been used to validate the expression of over 15,000 mammalian recombinant proteins, purify more than 5,000 human recombinant proteins from HEK293 cells and purify immunogens under native conditions for the development of antibodies.

Founded in 1987, AMS Biotechnology (AMSBIO) is recognised as a leading international provider of unique & innovative products & custom services for life sciences research. The AMSBIO range includes over 23,000 polyclonal & monoclonal antibodies, peptides, recombinant proteins, extracellular matrix, molecular detection reagents, & tissue DNA, RNA, protein & microarray products. Key research areas include: apoptosis, cell invasion & migration, cell signaling, DNA damage, electrophoresis, glycobiology, posttranslational modification & stem cell biology.

* FLAG-tag is a polypeptide protein tag that can be added to a protein using recombinant DNA technology. A FLAG-tag can be used in many different assays that require recognition by an antibody.  If there is no antibody against the studied protein, adding a FLAG-tag to this protein allows following the protein with an antibody against the FLAG sequence.
