The “Direct Energy Transfer technology” is a revolutionary process which utilises microwave automation, instead of the traditional 'pressure cooker' approach. Media preparation is three times faster and safer, providing instantaneous and uniform heat distribution, at a tenth of the energy of other traditional autoclave methods.
The Microjet is compact; with a space saving, benchtop design, weighing in at only 15 kg. The autoclave is also fast, as it only takes 7 minutes (based on using a 150ml volume Duran bottle) to sterilise (3-5 times faster than traditional sterilisation, dependant on volume used). The exposure to high temperatures is very short (60-90 seconds), which minimises any microbiological decomposition.
The modern design of the autoclave means all functions are touchscreen operated. To improve lab efficiency, the Microjet includes modern functionalities, including real-time monitoring of the sterilisation progress. Other modern functions include data logging, as each operation is automatically logged on to a Micro SD. The data is GLP compliant (it can be transferred to any PC and read using the ENBIO Data Viewer software - software is included with every Microjet purchase), but cannot be altered.
