BioTek Instruments will be recognized for their efforts in worksite wellness by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports and Vermont Department of Health on March 25, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Burlington from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

BioTekBioTek is one of 92 businesses that will receive an award for 2014. This is the fourth year the company has been honored.

“Worksites that promote healthy eating, physical activity, tobacco use cessation, and breastfeeding, contribute to the overall health and wellness of all Vermonters, and they are one of the key reasons we are routinely rated the nation’s healthiest state,” said Health Commissioner Harry Chen, MD.

The awards are designed to highlight and recognize what worksites from around the state are doing to promote the health and wellness of their employees. The organizations that receive the awards vary in size, industry and location but they all have a common thread, a commitment to workplace wellness.

BioTek’s BioFit wellness program focuses on creating balance in employees’ lives and offers a variety of activities, educational opportunities and programs that appeal to a diverse workforce. It includes a generous health benefit premium incentive for employees who participate. BioTek also provides an on-site EAP counselor, on-site PT services and a monthly Health Coach that meets with employees working on wellness goals.

BioTek Instruments, Inc., headquartered in Winooski, VT, USA, is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of microplate instrumentation and software.
