Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today announced a new range of downloadable protocols for the Thermo Scientific Multiskan FC microplate photometer. There are now nearly 50 ready-made protocols available to cover a wide variety of applications, including a broad range of ELISA’s and protein and cell viability assay kits. The protocols are free to download and include all of the measurement and calculation parameters defined in the associated assay kit instructions. As a result, researchers can start using a new assay quickly by simply registering online at www.thermo.com/readingroom and downloading the required protocols. The site also provides clear instructions on how to import the protocols into the Thermo Scientific SkanIt PC Software or the Multiskan® FC internal software.

All of the downloadable protocols can be edited by the user, which ensures a precise fit with current experimental needs and enables reuse for other protocols if required. Both the SkanIt® Software and the Multiskan FC internal software provide users with intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces. Whether editing existing protocols or designing new ones, the whole process is straightforward, enabling users to program even the most complex procedures with ease. Protocols will be added to the site regularly to allow Multiskan FC users to implement new assays quickly and easily.
