2010 mHealth Summit Emerges As Major One-Stop U.S. Venue for Mobile Health

Mobile Health, or "mHealth," is rapidly becoming a transformative solution for improving quality healthcare services domestically as well as internationally, including in the developing world. mHealth holds the promise of reaching people in underserved communities, squeezing greater efficiencies and costs from overstretched health systems, and enabling aging in place.

With over 5 billion mobile subscriptions globally, cell phones and related devices are becoming valuable tools to close the digital divide and increase access to a range of services, including healthcare.
