SeraCare Life Sciences Goes Live With SAP

SeraCare Life Sciences, a provider of high quality biological materials that help optimize diagnostic performance, reliability and repeatability across the IVD lifecycle, completed its implementation of . The SAP^® system integrates the company’s inventory planning and control, purchasing, production management, quality management and financial reporting systems into a single software solution.

“Our deployment of SAP^® delivers greater insight into day-to-day processes and facilitates data-driven forecasting and planning,” said Charles Mamrak, CEO of SeraCare. “SAP will enable us to better meet customer needs with faster, more accurate information about product availability, product specifications, order tracking, and more.”

The investment in SAP^® is one of many improvements to the company’s business processes that have been implemented over the last year as the new management team focuses on building a solid platform for growth as a leader in life science tools focused on the diagnostic market. At the beginning of this year, SeraCare reorganized into three market-focused business units serving diagnostic company researchers, manufacturers and clinical laboratories. These fully staffed business units bring focused products and a wealth of experience spanning the diagnostic product development cycle from concept to clinic. The enhanced software systems will provide an even better customer experience going forward.
