Crawford Scientific Analytical Services announce new ICP-MS testing facility.

ICPMS.jpgICP-MS is both a rapid and sensitive technique for measuring the elemental composition of solutions. More than seventy five elements can be determined, most of them at detection levels of 1ppb, with applications ranging from environmental to pharmaceutical, chemical and forensic. The addition of the ICP-MS service is an excellent complement to our existing chromatography and mass spectrometry consultancy services.

The Perkin Elmer Elan DRCplus instrument used by the laboratory additionally possesses a Dynamic Reaction Cell (DRC) which eliminates polyatomic interferences resulting from the combination of plasma gas and sample matrix constituents, producing ions of non-interfering m/z. This results in a highly specific and sensitive elemental composition measurement.

Typical Detection Limits are:
• 1ppb for most elements except B, Si, P, S, Br and I
• 1ppt for most of the second and third transition series elements and the Lanthanides

We offer a fast, professional and confidential service and would be delighted to discuss your ICP-MS and elemental analysis further.
