Dolomite Bio launches free Droplet Analyzer Software, enabling fast and accurate detection and analysis of hydrogel scaffolds and aqueous droplets generated with microfluidics technology.

The analysis of emulsions and products from microfluidics can be slow, difficult, and prone to human error. For this reason, Dolomite Bio is launching a Droplet Analyzer Software as a free online tool.

Originally developed to assist Dolomite Bio’s in-house Research and Development team, the software proved to be very effective, saving time and ensuring accurate and reliable droplet image analysis. As part of Dolomite Bio’s continuous effort to democratise science, the decision was made to release the software online, so that all researchers using microfluidic workflows, regardless of whether they are an existing user of the Nadia product family can access this impactful technology [TB1] .

The software can be used by following easy steps, simply upload your droplet images and choose between measuring the size of droplets, counting the number of beads, or measuring the size of a scaffold. The results will appear within seconds and, if you’ve chosen to measure droplet size, can be viewed as a histogram to see the droplet distribution. Results can be exported as a CVS file for use in statistical reports.

Xuan Nguyen, Bio-informatics Executive for Dolomite Bio said this about the upcoming launch, “DAS is an AI-powered droplet detection tool that significantly reduces analysis time while also increasing accuracy.”
