The CE-marked whole slide scanner, compliant with the EU IVDR, supports clinical laboratories in the European Union with high-performance imaging for diagnostic use

Evident, a global leader in microscopy solutions, announces the launch of the SLIDEVIEW™ DX VS200 universal whole slide imaging scanner, a CE-marked device under the EU IVDR (Regulation (EU) 2017/746) for use in clinical diagnostics in Europe.

The SLIDEVIEW DX VS200 scanner delivers high-resolution, high-throughput whole slide scanning for a wide range of pathology applications, accommodating versatile slide types, magnifications and imaging modes. The system is designed to support clinical workflows with exceptional image quality, reliability and ease of use.

With its CE marking under the EU IVDR, healthcare providers and laboratories throughout the EU can now integrate the SLIDEVIEW DX VS200 scanner’s compliant imaging capabilities into their diagnostic workflows with confidence, knowing that the system meets the rigorous safety and performance standards established by the regulation.

In addition to its IVDR-certified functionality, the SLIDEVIEW DX VS200 scanner supports research applications with fluorescence, polarization, darkfield and phase contrast imaging. AI-guided sample detection and TruAI analysis equip researchers with high-precision cell detection, segmentation and measurements, streamlining processes both during and after image acquisition. The scanner supports integration into lab and image management systems through DICOM formats and compatibility with HL7 and FHIR protocols. 

The CE-marked SLIDEVIEW DX VS200 scanner is available in July in all EU countries where IVDR compliance is required.
