Would you like to understand the many advantages of 3D Cell Culture and learn some practical tips and tricks for in vitro 3D studies?

The majority of cells in living tissue grow in a three-dimensional (3D) micro-environment, where they communicate and interact with each other and their surroundings.

When cultured in a traditional, two-dimensional in vitro environment, the cells are attached to a flat surface and can only grow and migrate on the substrate. In a 3D in vitro setup, the cells are either grown in suspension on a non-adhesive surface or embedded in or on a 3D matrix (e.g., Collagen I), which mimics the ECM and allows them to grow in all three directions.

This course gives you an introduction to 3D cell culture and its many advantages. In 2 hours, you will learn about the benefits of performing in vitro experiments in 3D, plus get an introduction to the solutions provided by ibidi.

After the course, you will be equipped with advanced knowledge and a better understanding of the necessary tools needed to perform your own 3D cell culture experiments.

No sterile working benches or cells are required to participate. Attend the course from the comfort of your office or home.

Target Group

This course is intended for scientists and technical associates who have experience with cell culture and sterile working techniques, and want to establish 3D cell culture using solutions provided by ibidi.
