Created by medical practitioners and the world’s foremost experts at the cutting edge of imaging technology, this two-day conference in central London addresses the need for an integrated approach to developing medical imaging systems for clinical use.

The conference bridges the gap between medical professionals and the imaging technology supply chain, providing the community with a better understanding of the challenges and capabilities of today’s advanced medical imagers.

Where Leading Imaging Technologists and Clinicians meet

MediSens provides a forum for discussions between the clinical and technical community to improve imaging technologies for cancer diagnosis and treatment, giving clinicians a chance to share their problems and unmet needs, and find solutions from the medical physics and engineering community.

CPD accredited (13 hours) and free to attend for medical professionals, the event will attract senior technical staff from device manufacturers, plus the related supply chain of image sensors, photon detectors and nuclear medicine, processing software and hardware. Attendees will hear clinical perspectives from Dr Tony Newman-Sanders, National Clinical Director for Diagnostics at NHS England; Professor (Dr) Sanjay Gandhi of North Bristol NHS Trust and Dr John Dickson, Head of Clinical Physics at University College London Hospitals.

Leading researchers and academics are also represented, including Ana Denis Bacelar, Senior Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory; Professor Ambros Beer; Dr Harry Tsoumpas and Dr Mike Partridge, Group Leader of Radiotherapy Research at the University of Oxford, as well as device engineers and technologists from leading manufacturers including Siemens Healthineers, Hamamatsu and Yole Developpement.

Insightful Technical Conference Agenda

Day one’s agenda maintains a theme of Imaging in Diagnosis, with highlights including recent developments in photon-counting computed tomography, PET/MR and hybrid imaging, plus NHS England’s view on the wider issues and unmet needs of AI and Deep Learning. While day two focuses on Therapy Planning, with a keynote address from Professor Uwe Oelfke, Deputy Head of the Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging at the ICR and RMH, and insights on imaging requirements in proton therapy, from pioneer Dr Tony Lomax.

With outstanding support from our international advisory board, the conference has backing from respected experts in the field including ICR’s Dr Dimitra Darambara, alongside involvement from local Royal Marsden Hospital representatives on both days of the event.

Device engineers and technologists from leading manufacturers

MediSens includes a table top exhibition of imaging technologies, which attendees can visit during networking breaks, and engage with established manufacturers and companies with novel approaches to addressing challenges in medical imaging.

Well thought-out location for the capitals medical professionals

Chosen for its central location for clinicians working in and around London, the Royal Marsden Hospital has an international pedigree and is the world’s first hospital dedicated to cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education.  The Hospital’s conference centre is globally renowned for its exciting programme of cancer related study and conference events.

The conference will include over 7 hours of quality networking time throughout the event, including an extra special networking experience on the evening of February 26th.

Early bird discounts available – early registration recommended

Registration is free for medical professionals. Academics and students can attend for just £299. Early bird discounts apply. For other ticketing options, please visit www.medisens-conference.com/pricing
