analytica 2020 will see KNF Laboratory Equipment (KNF Neuberger GmbH) relaunch its tried-and-tested Laboport laboratory pump series following a redesign

KNF Laboratory Equipment at analytica virtual 2020

It is not just analytica that is taking a new approach. The redesigned laboratory pumps of the Laboport series bring simple handling to everyday lab practice. They have been honored with the coveted international Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020. The award-winning N 820 G and its sister models will be presented in October at analytica 2020, where they can be viewed around the clock in the virtual “Product premieres” area.

With its clever design and ease of use, this modular KNF Laboratory Equipment series presents a vision of modern laboratory work. Users’ needs and desires were taken into account in the redevelopment of the pumps in order to ensure cost-efficiency and reliable functioning for day-to-day lab work. They feature a small footprint and easy-to-clean exterior, making them true all-rounders in the lab. The Red Dot Jury has already honored the Laboport N 820 G with the internationally sought-after Red Dot Award: Product Design for 2020. Visitors can find KNF’s virtual booth either by clicking on the prize-winning model in the virtual “Product premieres” area, or via the exhibitor directory.

Versatility wins

While the Laboport N 96 vacuum pump is particularly suitable for filtration and fluid aspiration, the Laboport N 820 G and N 840 G are ATEX-compliant and ideal for use with very aggressive or corrosive gases and vapors thanks to the PTFE pump head and the PTFE-coated diaphragm.

With a flow rate of up to 2.04 m3/h and an ultimate vacuum of 6 mbar abs, the diaphragm vacuum pumps N 820 G and N 840 G are ideal for rotary evaporation and distillation, as well as for degassing, gel drying, centrifugal concentration, desiccation, solid phase extraction and vacuum oven drying. The integrated gas ballast valve supports short processing times even with solvents with a high boiling point, which protects the pump heads.

All Laboport diaphragm vacuum pumps share an extremely compact, chemically resistant design and integrated speed control.

Information at a glance with the 3-color status display

The 3-color status display tells you at a glance whether the device is in operation, in stand-by mode or malfunctioning. Separators and/or condensers can be purchased individually at any time and easily fitted, enabling users to build their own customized vacuum system. The fold-out handle makes the device easy to transport and store.

Online product presentation

In his webinar “The Vacuum Pump – An Underestimated Component in the Laboratory,” Dietmar Königer, KNF’s Sales Manager Business Unit Lab, will be exploring the benefits of this technology. Using three laboratory applications as an example – filtration, rotary evaporation and drying (in a vacuum oven) – participants will be shown how diaphragm vacuum pumps make everyday lab processes both efficient and user-friendly.

The KNF team will be on hand via instant chat during analytica virtual 2020 to answer questions about their versatile and customizable solutions. In addition to Laboport, the focus will be on the diaphragm liquid pumps Simdos and Liquiport.
