Analab announced that it is rebranding its name, logo and visual identity from March 2022 to that of its parent company Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS). The new brand identity comes after the acquisition of Analab by SLS in 2016.

SLS are the UK & Ireland’s leading independent supplier of laboratory products and are partnered with some of the world's most recognisable brands in science, bringing the best laboratory equipment, consumables, and chemicals to their customers.

In addition to their own SLS Select, SLS Lab Basics, SLS Lab Pro and SLS Flowgen brands, they have partnerships with Merck, Eppendorf, Corning, Honeywell & Thermo Scientific to name a few. Their customers rely on them to source and supply the highest quality best value products to advance their scientific goals.

Managing Director Ian Roulstone said “This marks an exciting milestone for us and this last stage of integration with SLS completes a process that has delivered growth and continued success for our Irish team. It is also indicative of our ongoing commitment to provide the best products and services to our customers in all territories across the UK and Ireland.”

The company says its service delivery performance and products will not be affected by the rebranding. Niall Hamill, Regional Sales Manager - Ireland said “Brexit created several trade issues, including VAT and import duty burdens for our customers in the Republic of Ireland. The SLS Board has reviewed options to alleviate these and has decided to create a separate legal trading entity to serve customers in the Republic of Ireland (ROI). Inventory levels from our Irish and UK infrastructure ensures that we can adjust to fluctuations in demand and supply caused by both Brexit and the pandemic. This integration will only further improve our capacity to service our customers with industry-leading account support.”

Northern Ireland customers will now receive invoices, delivery notes and other communications with the Scientific Laboratory Supplies branding.  All contact details, email addresses, phone number, fax number remain unchanged.

In the Republic of Ireland, SLS Scientific Laboratory Supplies is the new legal entity. This new entity is VAT registered and day-to-day contacts, emails addresses, phone numbers, fax number remain unchanged for existing customers.
